The town of Auli, which is located at the higher reaches of Chamoli district, is situated at a breathtaking elevation of 3049 mts. How to Reach

By Road: Travellers can reach Auli through Dehradun and Haldwani. One can get Taxis and buses through Dehradun towards Joshimath, 15 kms from Auli. From Joshimath one can use the ropeway to get to Auli or use the road, which is mostly snow covered in winters. People having their own private vehicle can also use Haldwani - Kathgodam route as they won’t find any taxis or buses available from there.

By Train: The nearest Railway station is Dehradun and Kathgodam. Dehradun railway station is located 290 km away from the town and Kathgodam is at a distance of 316 kms. Both are well linked to major Indian cities.

By Air: Closest airport is the Jolly Grant Airport at Dehradun which is 310 kms away from Auli. Taxis are available from Jolly Grant Airport to Rishikesh, Devprayag and Pauri.
