Everything about the Pindari trek pleases a traveller and fills them with joy. The route towards the site of Pindari Glacier offers some of the most scenic views that you can get through this region. The trek is a simple one and can be taken by any healthy person. Located in the upper reaches of the Gigantic Kumaun Himalayas, the beautiful glacier is at the southeast of the peaks of Nanda Kot and Nanda Devi. For a small distance of around 3 kms in breath the glacier flows towards the south and rises till the Pindari River joining the river Alaknanda at the Karanprayag district in the Garhwal region.
Located at a breathtaking elevation of 3660 mts above the sea level, the glacier provides beautiful surrounding views the Nanda Kot Peak. The trek to reach Zero Point in the Pindari Glacier is of a total distance of 90km and can be easily completed within 6 days. Pindari Glacier is also known to be the most accessible one of all the glaciers. The best time to visit the glacier is during summer months and pre-winters as snowfall may make the region unreachable.

Located in the Bageshwar district one can drive till the beautiful Saung village which is the gateway for treks to Pindari, Kafni, Milam and Sunderdhunga Glacier. By Air: The nearest airport to the town is the Pantnagar Airport which connects the entire Kuamon region with major Indian cities. The airport is at a distance of 211 from the town of Kapkot which is the nearest accessible town to the Pindari Glacier.
By Rail: The nearest railway head to the town of Kapkot is the Kathgodam Railway station which is at a distance of 177 kms. Other than that, travellers can also book trains till Haldwani railway station for getting buses and taxis till Bageswhar.
By Road: To reach Pindari Glacier, the roads are accessible till the town of Kapkot that connects the District of Bageshawar to major Indian cities. Buses can be boarded from Delhi Anand Vihar ISBT till Haldwani. Taxis and buses are available till Bageshwar. From Bageshawar one can get sharing jeeps till Kapkot and Saung Village.
